Prayer Circle

MMM is dedicated to healing. Each day we turn to God, the Great Healer, to sustain us in our lives and work.
We ask God to heal when we can only bring our human effort. Join with us in prayer this day, for your own needs and for the needs of the world.

  • Please pray for young child Barbara, who is critically ill. She is my son and daughters friend. She is currently being treated in Sweden. Thank you for your prayers
  • I have had an accident which has added my already health problems. I now feel very lonely and low as I can't get out. I am also fearful that I may lose my job due to the medical issues. Please pray for me
  • Please pray for my sister in law Monica who died very suddenly on 4 May from a brain aneurysm. Her family are devastated as she was in very good health. The family need all our prayers. Monica died in Canada but she went to the Cross and Passion Convent in Ballycastle and her heart remained in Ballycastle. Her wish was that she would be cremated in Canada but wanted her funeral Mass in Ballycastle and to be buried with her parents and sister. The family are honouring her wishes and they are all coming grandchildren and all at end of July. My brother will celebrate the Requiem Mass. thank you for your prayers.
  • Please pray for Michael and his son Michael Jnr. who are both struggling with ill health at present.
  • Please add Pat and Celia and family to your prayers as we cope with his recent diagnosis of Young Onset Dementia. God bless you all

A Prayer for our Earth

By Pope Francis*

All-powerful God, you are present in the whole universe and in the smallest of your creatures. You embrace with your tenderness all that exists.

Pour out upon us the power of your love, that we may protect life and beauty.

Fill us with peace, that we may live as brothers and sisters, harming no one.

O God of the poor, help us to rescue the abandoned and forgotten of this earth, so precious in your eyes.

Bring healing to our lives, that we may protect the world and not prey on it, that we may sow beauty, not pollution and destruction.

Touch the hearts of those who look only for gain at the expense of the poor and the earth.

Teach us to discover the worth of each thing, to be filled with awe and contemplation, to recognize that we are profoundly united with every creature as we journey towards your infinite light.

We thank you for being with us each day. Encourage us, we pray, in our struggle for justice, love and peace.

* Pope Francis published this prayer in his Laudato Si’ encyclical, and is meant for sharing with all who believe in a God who is the all-powerful Creator.
