On 3 October 1953, Patricia from Larne, Co. Antrim, entered MMM as a qualified nurse. She is remembered as a gentle, quiet and retiring person. Following first profession, she staffed in the IMTH before becoming very ill.

She was hospitalised in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and made her final profession in articolo mortis (at the point of death) on 3 September 1957. She lingered on, finally dying at 12.30 p.m. on 15 November 1957. She is buried in Drogheda.

She suffered greatly during her illness, mainly because there were few effective analgesics in common use at that time.
