Anne came from Athy, Co. Kildare and entered in Clonmel on 1 August 1950.

One tends to think ‘chuck-chuck’ when one remembers Ann, for her real forte in latter years was with chickens. She was a great provider of poultry products, both in Drogheda and in Rosemount in her day. She took great care of the garden and always had a great crop of tomatoes, which she arranged to be sold in Jury’s Hotel in Dublin to help out with the finances. She also had the Sale of Work Dublin Committee as one of her charges.

However, her ministry took her beyond Dublin to Clonmel and Killybegs and the Lourdes Laundry. She put her whole self into whatever she was responsible for, so the ‘letting go’ could not have been easy for her over the four years of illness that she suffered before her death.

Sr. Anne died and is buried in Drogheda
