Dublin born Agnes Mary entered MMM in Drogheda on 1 August 1950. She was very musical and belonged to Our Lady’s Choral Society, along with Sr. Eithne Fay, before she entered.
Ireland was her mission and her ability in the accounts field here will long be remembered: the laundry and convent in Drogheda and the hospital in Waterford all benefited from her expertise. She was superior in Rosemount from 1959 – 61. She also spent time as secretary to Monsignor Stokes, administrator of St. Peter’s Church, Drogheda.
She was Central Business Administrator from 1979, resident in Mell, Drogheda. She became seriously ill in February 1983 and was confined to bed from about mid-April. The Central Team there cared for her until her death in October that year.
She is buried in Drogheda.
